World’s largest horseshoe unveiled

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Kentucky Derby Museum unveiled the world’s largest horseshoe during a ceremony on Sunday.

Guinness World Records confirmed that is indeed the largest, according to officials, making the final judgement a week prior to the reveal.

The shoe measures 6 x 9 x 6 x 11 feet, weighing in at a whopping 610 pounds.

The museum says it is an exact replica of one of the shoes worn by the 1973 Triple Crown champion, Secretariat.
