Baltimore man indicted in accident that killed Bourbon Co. girl
PARIS, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Scott Co. grand jury indicted 32-year-old Mohamed Abdullah in connection with a deadly car accident back in May that took the life of a Bourbon Co. girl.
According to the Scott Co. Commonwealth Attorney Abdullah was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Baltimore, that arrest coming just three days after a grand jury indicted him for manslaughter and assault. On May 23, 13-year-old Emily Sams and her parents were on I-64 in Scott Co. on their way to a volleyball tournament when investigators say Abdullah ran into their car. She was killed and her parents were seriously injured.
The Commonwealth Attorney says Abdullah will be extradited to Scott Co. to answer to those charges, but didn’t say when that would occur. Abdullah will first appear in court in Baltimore.
