Restaurant fire leads to evacuation of employees, customers
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) – Officials say a fire caused employees and customers to be evacuated from a restaurant in Bowling Green.
The Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1K9uDYe) the fire took place at the Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill on Sunday evening.
Bowling Green Fire Department spokeswoman Marlee Boenig says firefighters were called to the restaurant around 7:30 p.m. and discovered the fire between the roofs of the building.
Officials say firefighters were on the scene for hours.
Boenig says employees and customers were safely evacuated and no one was injured.
Boenig says it is not clear at the time what caused the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
