UPDATE: Missing woman found
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman who was reported missing early Thursday morning after going for a jog in Lexington has been found.
Lexington Police say Betty C. Bett called them at 7:10 a.m. to tell them that she was safe.
Police say she told them she went jogging on the Legacy Trail, left the main trail and got lost.
She says she did not have her phone with her so she could not call for help.
She told police she found a farm and went to sleep in one of the vehicles.
The owners found her in the morning and let her use their phone.
Bett’s roommate reported her missing at 3 a.m. Thursday when he returned home.
Bett went jogging at around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say they are interviewing her.
