LPD: Man tried to run over ex-girlfriend

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a man tried to run down his ex-girlfriend with her two children in the car.

Court documents say on Monday afternoon, 22-year-old Kenneth Mitchell got into his ex-girlfriend’s car with her two children in the back seat and drove at her.

Documents say he drove through driveways and front lawns at a high rate of speed toward the victim, who was standing out in the street.

Police say Mitchell also assaulted his ex-girlfriend and stole $100 from her car.

He was arrested about an hour after the incident.
