Accused shoplifter also gets fraud charges

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – An investigation by Richmond police has led to fraud charges for 39-year-old Kelly Isenbarg.

Police say they received a complaint back in April, from a man who said his disability debit card was being used for purchases and ATM withdrawals while he was incarcerated.  Investigators say the man’s girlfriend, Isenbarg, was a likely suspect in the thefts.  A follow-up investigation revealed that the man’s debit card had been used on 12 occasions resulting in a loss of $2906.72.  Police issued a warrant for Isenbarg’s arrest back in June. 

Then, on Wednesday, officers were sent to Walmart after someone reported a shoplifter.  The accused shoplifter turned out to be Isenbarg, who initially gave police a fake name.  Isenbarg was taken to the Madison County Detention Center where a search led to the recovery of a small quantity of heroin. In addition to the warrant charges, Isenbarg faces possession and theft charges.
