KSP: Man with knife shot to death after charging officer

DRY RIDGE, Ky. (WTVQ) – State police say an officer fatally shot a man accused in a domestic violence murder in northern Kentucky.

Officers say it happened August 6.  Troopers say Gustavo Ponce-Galon was armed with a knife, inside an Elsmere home, and charged police officer Michael Metzger before he was shot.  Troopers say a woman was found with life threatening injuries inside the house, and was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

State police are continuing their investigation.
