Search for missing camper continues

WOLFE CO., Ky. (WTVQ) – Wolfe Co. Search & Rescue says they have been unable to locate 31-year-old Josh Adkins, who went missing in the woods around Red River Gorge Saturday evening.

Rescue crews are now circulating a recent picture of Adkins in case anyone visiting the gorge might happen to find him.  Wolfe Co. Search & Rescue says Adkins was last seen wearing a blue shirt, khaki pants, and Nike tennis shoes. If anyone ses Adkins they are asked to please call (606) 668-6757.

Over 100 rescuers were searching the campground and the surrounding areas where Adkins was last seen today.  Rescuers have reported several injuries, including a broken ankle and an injured knee, as a result of the rugged terrain and sustained search efforts.
