Woman charged with adult exploitation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington woman is accused of stealing more than $11,000 from an elderly woman she was hired to care for.

Court documents say 23-year-old Mackenzie Meador was a home health nurse for an elderly woman.

The patient and her family say Meador was supposed to pay medical expenses with the check.

Police say Meador paid herself $11,008.00 with some of them instead.

Documents say Meador told police her employer wanted her to have the additional money for her work.
