KSP investigating fatal crash in Lincoln Co.

STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision that happened just after 9:00 p.m. last night on Highway 127 in Lincoln County.

According to officers, a 2009 Nissan Murano was headed south on US 127 just north of Jefferies Lane. Police say the car collided with a 1997 Jeep Wrangler pulling a trailer south on US 127. The collision pushed the Jeep across the center of the roadway, into the path of a 2014 Dodge Truck and trailer.

41-year-old George Spears, who was driving the Jeep Wrangler, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lincoln County Coroner.

KSP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
