LPD: Man punches Lexington firefighter who was trying to help him

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police say a man is facing charges after he punched a Lexington firefighter who was trying to help him.

Officers say police and EMTs were called last Saturday to Bryan Avenue. They say they found 32-year-old Labrin Montel Johnson laying in the middle of the road, covered in his own vomit.

Police say as firefighters tried to put him on a stretcher, Johnson became combative and punched a firefighter in the jaw.

According to police, Johnson is charged with assault and alcohol intoxication.
