Proposed Bill Would Allow KY Lawmakers To Opt Out Of Pension System
State lawmakers could opt out of the state’s pension system if they pass a bill letting themselves do it.
Representative David Floyd, a Republican, says being in the General assembly is a part-time job.
He believes lawmakers shouldn’t be eligible for a pension.
Floyd says the pension program has enough money troubles as it is.
He has drafted an "opt-out" bill that will be considered in January.
