Second body found in river 3 days after boat capsized

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – A woman’s body has been pulled from the Ohio River, and authorities are waiting for the coroner to determine whether it is one of three who went missing when their boat capsized nine miles upstream.

Two died in the Saturday night boat wreck. A man, a woman, and a child remain missing after rescuers scoured the river for days.

Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Jack Arnold says the body of 37-year-old Danal Swinney was found late Monday. He had drowned.

Swinney’s daughter, 10-year-old Dasia, remained missing, along with Swinney’s girlfriend, Joyce Wright.

Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley says the body of an adult woman was found Tuesday morning in the river west of downtown. The coroner will have to confirm her identity.
