Meeting to discuss fate of BB tournament
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Organizers of the annual Dirt Bowl basketball tournament says they will be meeting with the community on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., to discuss the future of the competition.
Recreation Manager Jacquelyn Franch said the meeting will be held at the Dunbar Community Center, and will be brief due to the games beginning at 6.
The basketball games are currently being played at Dunbar, but the annual Dirt Bowl has, in the past, been played at Douglass Park. Recent shootings in the area are the cause of much concern for community members, and anyone interested is free to attend to discuss.
