TRAFFIC: Car on fire, temporarily closed New Circle.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — According to a WTVQ reporter on the scene, New Circle Road near Versailles was closed on Wednesday, around 5:45 p.m., after a woman’s sedan caught fire.

She allegedly lost power in her vehicle while driving, and a passerby told her that the rear of her car was on fire. Officials say she had pulled over and called the fire department.

No one was injured in the incident, but the woman’s car appeared badly damaged by the flames before it was towed away.

Though New Circle was temporarily closed, the Fire Department said two lanes should be open by 6:10 p.m.
