Women Rally in Downtown Lexington
More than a hundred women gathered in downtown Lexington to rally for women’s rights, and to protest two of Kentucky’s most prominent lawmakers.
The rally was called ‘We Will Not be Silent.’
The goal was to celebrate women’s right to vote and equality, but also to protest Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell who recently voted against a version of the "Violence Against Women Act," because of some of the provisions in that act.
