Five-vehicle crash closes part of New Circle Rd.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police say five vehicles were involved in a crash today that shut down part of New Circle Road in Lexington.

Police say it happened near Meadow Lane when a car swerved to avoid some stopped traffic. According to officers, another car then rear-ended the first one. Police say that led to a chain reaction involving a total of five vehicles.

Officers say two people went to the hospital. No word yet on their conditions. The crash closed part of New Circle Road for awhile. It has since reopened.
