Looking for owner of John Deere Tractor

WHITLEY CO, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department says a North Corbin resident found a John Deere tractor and attached side mower on their private property.

A 4×4 model 5083E, the resident contacted Sheriff Colan Harrell with reports of the surprise tractor, saying one window was broken and the ignition showed signs of tampering.

At this time, Deptuty Mike Taylor says the tractors identifiers have not been entered into a national database, and no one has reported a tractor missing to their department.

Authorities removed the tractor from the North Corbin property, taking it to the sheriff’s department where it will remain in police custody until someone can provide solid proof of ownership.

Police ask that if you believe you are the owner, or if you have tips to assist in the investigation, to call Whitley County’s emergency number at (606) 549-6017 and ask to speak to Deputy Taylor.
