Berea PD: Be on lookout for bears

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Berea Police is warning families to be on the lookout after they received two different reports of bear sightings in the past 24 hours.

Police tell ABC 36 News that they received the second report Thursday afternoon near Lee Paige Court and Scaffold Cane Road.

If you spot a bear, make sure to stay away and not feed it, says Berea Police Sgt. Jake Reed. When you are safe, call police to report it.

Police say, prevention is key. Make sure trash is covered and kept away from wandering animals.
