Man charged with heroin trafficking in Pulaski Co.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says a man was taken into custody, accused of trafficking heroin.

The sheriff says 37-year-old Andwele Hammond’s arrest was part of a four-month investigation into illegal distribution of heroin in Pulaski County.

Deputies say when they went to arrest Hammond on Thursday, he told them he ingested a large amount of heroin.

He was taken to the hospital.

He was later booked into custody.
