UPDATE: Kenneth Keith getting new lawyer, new hearing date
BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — Kenneth Keith, the former pastor accused of killing three people, was scheduled to be in court on Monday morning.
His scheduled competency hearing did not happen, according to officials. Rescheduled to July 27 at 9 a.m., authorities say the hearing did not happen due to Keith’s lawyer asking to be removed from the case. Authorities say Sandra Downs will now be representing the man.
Keith was charged with gunning down Michael and Angela Hockensmith, and Daniel Smith on September 20th of 2014.
Court documents say that, while Keith pled ‘Not Guilty’ to the murders; he did say that he didn’t believe the Hockensmith’s were innocent bystanders in the robbery.
