Amber Alert arrest – now in court
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Amadou Barry, accused of snatching accused of snatching his 7-year-old daughter, Rama, from his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, was in court on June 8.
Georgia police say Barry and 26-year-old Njie Yankuba forced their way into Barry’s ex-girlfriend’s apartment the morning of June 6, forcing her and her boyfriend to the floor at gunpoint.
According to police, the mother fought back and was knocked unconscious. Shortly after the two took off with Rama, officials say an Amber Alert was issued.
LPD say they were called on Saturday evening by Atlanta police, told to go to Richmond Road’s DoubleTree Hotel.
Police say they found both Yankuba and Barry inside, as well as Rama, who was unharmed.

According to Fayette County District Court, Barry waived extradition to go back to Georgia.
