Inside Hal Heiner headquarters in Louisville
According to campaign officials, some of Heiner’s biggest supporters are in attendance showing their support.
The crowed was gathered throughout the room, but most people were focused on the large projection screen that showed the incoming results.
The event is being held at the Gheens Foundation Lodge in Louisville.
The former Louisville Metro councilman has called himself the "Frankfort outsider" throughout the campaign, saying that Frankfort politicians "don’t have the slightest clue" how to create jobs.
Heiner says he has that experience from his successful commercial real estate development company and he knows exactly how to attract people and businesses to Kentucky.
In 2010, Heiner ran for Mayor in Louisville, but outside of Jefferson County, he wasn’t very well-known. He’s put more than $4 million of his own money into the campaign.
We talked to the campaign a little while ago and they said they’re ready, excited and here to win.
