Woodford Coroner: Man killed in motorcycle crash

Woodford County Coroner Ronald Owens has identified the victim at 34-year-old Justin Jelinski from Fayette County.

The coroner says Jelinski’s motorcycle lost control and hit a telephone pole around 7:30 Monday night on Old Frankfort Pike.

According to investigators, Jelinski was wearing a helmet. However, witnesses told officials that his speed topped 100 miles per hour.

Two riders on another bike were accompanying Jelinski to Frankfort. They were not hurt.
