STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Troopers say a man and two dogs were killed early Wednesday morning after a vehicle overturned and caught on fire on U.S. 27 south of Stanford.
Officers say the accident happened around 2:00 a.m. when a 2004 silver Pontiac car rear-ended a 2001 red Pontiac. That car ended up overturned and on fire. Investigators say they are still trying to determine if the red Pontiac was stopped or was going very slow in the left lane when it was hit.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the silver Pontiac were uninjured.
