Police investigate after robbery victim was shot in leg

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say a man lost his wallet and took a bullet to the leg in a robbery late Saturday night.

It happened outside the Circle K on Buckhorn Drive. Police say a suspect armed with a gun demanded the wallet of the victim. The victim said no, then got shot in the leg, according to police. The suspect got away with the wallet in a tan Prius.

He was described by police as wearing a gray sweatshirt and purple bandana. That victim, police say, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
