Sheriff: Fight lands one man in hospital and another in jail

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fight landed one man in the hospital and another in jail, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say 34-year old Justin Chambers of London went to a home on Walnut Road with the intent to fight.  Deputies say Chambers did get into a fight with Noel McQueen and stabbed him during the altercation.  Investigators say they found McQueen lying on the ground with an apparent stab wound when they arrived shortly after 4:00 a.m.  They say McQueen was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington.

Investigators say Chambers was also injured during the fight and ended up at UK Hospital where he was treated for a lacerated hand before being taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.  Chambers was charged with Assault 1st Degree, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.  The investigation is ongoing.
