Stu Silberman retiring from Prichard Committee

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Former Fayette Co. School Superintendent Stu Silberman announced today that he plans to retire later this year to focus on health and family.

Silberman said he will retire in September as Executive Director of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence.  He says he has a rare kidney disease that will require a transplant, and says he wants to spend as much time as possible with family before the surgery.
