Danville Prison Rebuilt After Fire
It’s been almost 3 years since a riot and fire at the Northpoint Training Center in Danville. And now the prison has been rebuilt.
Inmates set fire to several buildings on August 21, 2009.
Six buildings, including the kitchen, were uninhabitable.
The warden tells the Danville Advocate-Messenger there have been big changes since then.
The prison has almost 1,100 inmates and will slowly increase to more than 1,200. Which was the population before the riot.
