6-year-old dies after being pulled from marina
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Police say a 6-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a marina near his home.
Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Carey Klain told The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/1N0xfux) that the boy’s parents reported him missing Sunday afternoon. Shortly after officers began searching, Klain said a neighbor pulled the child from the water and began resuscitation efforts.
She said police are performing a death investigation, but presume that the boy drowned.
It wasn’t clear how long he had been missing. Klain said the boy had been playing with other children earlier in the day, and his parents reported him missing.
The boy’s name wasn’t released.
