Truck hits pedestrian in Madison Co.

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Madison Co. Sheriff’s office is investigating an accident in which a man walking in the area of Big Hill Road and Hwy. 21 West was hit by a pickup truck.

According to investigators, they received a call about the accident just before noon.  When they got there, they say they found the victim, 68 year-old Robert Jackson of Berea with serious injuries.  He was taken to UK Chandler Medical Center for treatment of potentially life-threatening wounds.

According to the driver of the pickup, Mr. Jackson walked out in front of him and he could not avoid the accident.
