Inmate stabbed at Kentucky State Penitentiary

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – State police are investigating a stabbing at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville they say happened late Tuesday.

Officers say Michael Brown, 22, was on the prison yard when he was stabbed by Terry King multiple times. Brown was given immediate medical attention at the prison and then transported to Baptist Hospital. King was placed in segregation at the prison.

State Police say criminal charges will depend on the outcome of their investigation.
