LPD: Taco Bell robbed at gunpoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police say a Taco Bell restaurant was held up Thursday night at gunpoint. Officers say it happened around 7:30 when a man with a mask and gun went into Taco Bell at New Circle Road and Russell Cave.

Police say at first, employees thought the robbery was a joke. But the workers told investigators they realized it was a hold up when the suspect then started throwing trays.

Officers say the suspect eventually ran to a white car. Police later tried to pull over a white car, but say the three people inside pulled into the Lexmark parking lot, then ran.

Police arrested the three people and say they’re being questioned.

As of this writing, there are no arrests in the robbery.
