Mayor declares Friday “Blue-White Day” in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – In celebration of the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team’s undefeated regular season, and in support of their quest to win a ninth national championship, Lexington Mayor Jim Gray declared that Friday, March 13, 2015, would be "Blue-White Day" in the city.

All Solid Blue fans are encouraged to wear their favorite UK gear on game days and cheer on the team throughout the postseason.

Kentucky opens play in the Southeastern Conference Tournament on Friday, March 13, 2015, against the Florida Gators in the quarterfinal round of the tourney at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
