UPDATE: Victim in fatal Newtown Pike crash identified

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The driver of a truck who died after his vehicle slammed into a pole on Newtown Pike has been identified.  The Fayette Co. coroner says it was 27 year-old Nicholas Hamm of Georgetown.

The accident happened just before noon at the intersection of Newtown Pike and Iron Works Pike.

Funeral arrangements for Hamm are pending at this time.
