Summer Youth Employment Program begins

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Summer Youth Employment Program is now taking applications for young people from 14 to 17 years old who are looking for summer jobs.  Applications can be found online at www.lexingtonky.gov.  There are 225 summer jobs to be filled, and the deadline to apply is 4 p.m., February 27.

Jobs may require additional documentation, including a copy of a Social Security card, a picture ID (issued by the state or a school,) and a birth certificate.  Documentation must be mailed to the Division of Youth Services, 101 E. Vine St., Suite 150, Lexington, Ky. 40507.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
