Trial begins for man charged in wife’s death
PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) — The trial is set to begin for a western Kentucky man charged with killing his wife.
Police say Julie Griffith was shot three times last January before her body was found inside her Reidland home, which had been set ablaze. Her husband, Keith Griffith, was indicted on charges of murder, arson and evidence tampering.
Police have said they have surveillance video showing a vehicle matching Griffith’s truck pulling into his neighborhood just before the fire started.
Defense attorney Emily Roark said her client continues to maintain his innocence.
Jury selection is set to start on Monday.
