LPD: Downtown Waffle House Robbed At Gunpoint
Investigators said it happened around 5:00 Friday morning at the North Broadway restaurant.
According to officers, one of the men stood by the door with a gun.
Police said the second suspect jumped over the counter and demanded money from the cash register.
The two men were reportedly last seen running toward Judy Lane.
The owner of the Waffle House, Raymond Daniels, said it was not the first time his restaurant had been robbed.
"It doesn’t happen often, but when it does we have caught and apprehended anyone involved. I’m confident the police will do their job," said Daniels.
Police said no one was hurt during the robbery.
According to Daniels, police planned to review video surveillance from the restaurant.
