‘Pay-what-you-can’ restaurant finds a home

DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Organizers say they’ve found a permanent home for a nonprofit community restaurant in central Kentucky that offers home-cooked meals and a mission.

Grace Café will be located at 219 S. Fourth St. in Danville and will allow customers to pay what they can.

The mission of the café is to end hunger in Boyle County by welcoming and serving patrons in a respectful and dignified manner, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Advocate-Messenger (http://bit.ly/1tQu11P) reports Grace Café Director Rochelle Bayless made the announcement Thursday during a faith community luncheon. She says there’s no opening date yet, but she is excited to have a place to call home.

The organization still needs to raise $75,000 before it can open to the public.
