Police: Facebook-Arranged Sale Turns Into Attempted Robbery
Lexington police said an arranged sale through Facebook led to an attempted armed robbery and shots fired Sunday afternoon.
According to police, just after two, a couple was meeting someone they thought wanted to sell them a phone. The meeting was arranged, according to police, through Facebook.
When the victims tried to pay for the phone, police said two female suspects produced a handgun to rob them.
Officers said the victims jumped in their SUV and drove off as the suspects fired off gunshots. One hit the SUV according to police.
No arrests have been. Suspects are described as one female wearing pink tennis shoes, about 6-feet-tall. The other, 5-feet-tall, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
