2 suspects in custody in fatal apartment shooting
WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) — Winchester police say they have arrested two suspects in a home invasion that resulted in gunfire which killed one person and injured three others.
Winchester Police Department Captain James Hall said officers were called to an apartment complex Tuesday night and found two shooting victims in one unit and another victim in a unit directly below it.
Hall said the two victims upstairs were taken to the hospital in critical condition and the shooting victim downstairs was pronounced dead. Clark County Coroner Robert Gayheart identified the victim as 19-year-old Amber Caudill.
Hall told The Winchester Sun (http://bit.ly/1HBrUW4) that two suspects were arrested early Wednesday — 18-year-old Lillian Barnett and 20-year-old Lamont Wilkerson. Both are charged with murder. It was unclear if they have attorneys.
Hall said more arrests are expected.
