Pedestrian Hit On Liberty Road Dies At UK

An update to a story we first brought you Saturday night, the Fayette County Coroner has identified the victim of a fatal pedestrian versus vehicle accident on Liberty Road.

The coroner said 23-year-old Jacob Hamilton passed away Sunday morning at UK. Police said Hamilton was waiting at a bus stop at Liberty and Wilderness when he was hit around seven Saturday night.

Officers said the driver drove off before calling to report the accident. Officers said no charges have been filed against the driver at this point in the investigation.
