Kentucky Distillers’ Association growing

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Distillers’ Association is welcoming seven new members, bringing the group’s total members to the highest level since Prohibition was repealed.

The new members being inducted during the group’s 134th annual meeting in Louisville brings the total members to 27. Association President Eric Gregory says that is the most since the 1930s and could grow to 40 next year with more than a dozen distilleries announced or under construction.

Gregory says bourbon is benefiting Kentucky with jobs, tax revenue and investment.

The new members are Bluegrass Distillers of Lexington, Boundary Oak Distillery of Elizabethtown, Casey Jones Distillery of Hopkinsville, Dueling Grounds Distillery of Franklin, Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. of Louisville, The Gentleman Distillery of Paris and Three Boys Farm Distillery of Frankfort.
