Funeral Plans Set For H. Foster Pettit

 Funeral arrangements are set for former Lexington mayor H. Foster Pettit.
 
 Pettit passed away Saturday in Hammond, Louisiana.

 The 84-year-old had been in the Intensive Care Unit battling a life-threatening bacterial infection.

 He caught the infection during a fishing trip in October when the boat he was on with family and friends capsized.

 Pettit got a cut on the leg, causing the infection.

 Pettit was mayor of Lexington from 1972 to 1978.

 Funeral services for Pettit will be held Saturday, November 29 at 2:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church on North Mill Street.

 It will be followed by a public reception at the Carnegie Center in Gratz Park.
