Police: Man Robs Lexington Rite Aid In Broad Daylight

Lexington police said Rite Aid at 1301 Winchester Road was robbed around 11 a.m. Thursday.
 
Officers said the suspect came into the store and passed a note to the pharmacy that said it was a robbery.
 
Police said the man implied he had a weapon in his pocket, but clerks and customers said they did not see the weapon.
 
Officers said the man got away with drugs and money and ran across Winchester Road on foot.
 
The manager of Exhaust Pro, a muffler and brake shop across the street, said he saw the suspect in his parking lot.
 
A K-9 unit searched the area.  Officers said the suspect got into an older blue car on nearby James Court.
 
Officers said the suspect is a man between 25 and 35 years old. They said he was wearing a green army jacket, blue jeans and blue and white tennis shoes at the time of the robbery. They also said he had a black cap over his head, a red scarf on top of his head and a blue scarf across his face.
 
Police said they are reviewing surveillance video from the store.  If you have any information, you are asked to contact police.
