Bedbug found in state building in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — A bedbug has been found in the large state building where the Cabinet for Health and Family Services is located in Frankfort.

The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/1tUhz4t ) says the bedbug was exterminated, and state officials say there’s no infestation.

Cabinet spokeswoman Jill Midkiff says the source of the bug isn’t known. She says the area that was treated will be monitored. It includes one location on one floor of the building.

Midkiff says the local health department was contacted to assist.
