Fraternal Order Of Firefighters Finds Home For Toy Drive
The Toy Program helps thousands of Fayette County kids wake up to gifts under their Christmas tree each year.
The organization was struggling to find a warehouse to host its North Pole, which serves as an application area, sorting center, and distribution facility.
An employee of Corrisoft heard the campaign needed a home and the company agreed to donate the use of its warehouse at 1713 Jaggie Fox Way, on the north side of Lexington.
The campaign kicked off Wednesday afternoon with the president of Corrisoft, Bill Johnson, and Mayor Jim Gray donating the first two toys.
New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any of the city’s fire stations through December 10th.
Toys should be appropriate for kids newborn to 12 years old.
Families can sign up to receive toys at Corrisoft from Monday, November 10th through Wednesday, November 26th between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays – and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
Visit www.lfdfof.org for full eligibility and requirements.
The Chuck Williams Auction to benefit the toy program will be held at Corrisoft on December 6th at 2 in the afternoon.
