Coroner Continuing Investigation into Found Remains
After remains, believed to be human, were discovered Wednesday night in Lexington, The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said they will be back on the scene Thursday morning to continue to their investigation.
Lexington Police told ABC 36 News the remains were found in a wooded area off Citation Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.
According to the coroner’s office, the area was too dark Wednesday night to perform a real investigation, so they planned on holding off until daylight on Thursday to begin the full investigation. Lexington Police units kept the scene secure overnight.
ABC 36 News will be sending a crew to the scene as the investigation continues.
