Man to be arraigned in Ohio highway shooting case

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — An Illinois man accused of kidnapping and killing a Kentucky woman found dead in a vehicle along Interstate 75 in southwest Ohio is scheduled to be arraigned.

The arraignment for 41-year-old Terry Froman of Brookport, Illinois, is scheduled Monday in Warren County, northeast of Cincinnati. Court records list no attorney for him.

Authorities say Froman killed his estranged girlfriend’s 17-year-old son in Kentucky, then kidnapped and killed the woman before being arrested Sept. 12. Ohio authorities said they heard multiple gunshots as they approached Froman’s stopped vehicle along Interstate 75.

They said Froman had a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and 34-year-old Kim Thomas was dead inside the vehicle.

Froman was indicted on aggravated murder, kidnapping and a firearms discharge count in Ohio. He also faces murder and kidnapping charges in Kentucky.
