Teen injured in videotaped assault; 4 arrested

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Officials say a 15-year-old Kentucky boy was critically injured in a sexual assault that was videotaped and distributed, and four suspects have been arrested.

Christian County Sheriff’s office Capt. Chris Miller said Thursday that the victim remains in intensive care in a Tennessee hospital, with his condition improving. Miller says the assault occurred at a home in Hopkinsville, in western Kentucky, last Sunday.

Miller says investigators haven’t uncovered any "premeditated plans" to lure the boy to the home.

He says the video was shared but that investigators aren’t yet sure whether it was posted to any websites.

Sodomy charges have been filed against two adults and a 17-year-old in the case. A second juvenile also was arrested.

Miller says a fifth suspect was taken into custody Wednesday night.
